BioI've been teaching university-level writing for a number of years: everything from first-year composition to technical and online communication. I'm also a part-time editorial consultant, which allows me to throw grammar terms around with impunity. I'd never written a word of fiction in my entire life until 2004 when, through Harry Potter fanfic, I discovered the joys of writing my own fanfic. From 2004 to 2009, I volunteered on and off as an admin for Sychophant Hex. LJ interests include HP, Doctor Who, Sherlock Holmes, Star Trek, fiction in general, SF in general, food & (especially!) wine, fandom gossip, poetry, quantum physics as long as no math is involved, and general scandal and mayhem. Did I mention long walks ... ? on beaches and in urban landscapes (but not shopping malls). In my spare time, I chip away at my writer's block. New Year's resolution: write again!
